A BESTFRIEND IN DISGUISE

When you enter your teenage, you go through a number of emotions. Each one stronger than the other. There is a major hormonal imbalance and hormones can make you really, really crazy.

Teenage is the time you crave attention and freedom. Attention from your friends and freedom from all restrictions at home. You want to independent and you want to be the center of attention. It is as if you live in a imaginary world. But who is it who pops the bubble? Who gives you that much needed reality check ? It’s your parents. And guess what, you hate them for it. There is no one you hate as much as your parents as a pre-teen and an early teen.

They tell you what’s right, they interfere in everything, they are up front, honest and frank with you. They will say no a million times a day, they will pester you for every little task, they will not let you be on your own. I can be very frustrating sometimes. You are always daggers drawn with them, either you are a very obedient child who just listens to everything they say which is rarely the case or you’re the spoilt brat who is a rebel without a cause.

Whatever may be the case, by the time you step out of your teens most of you have grown extremely close to either one of you parent. You ” can’t life without them”. It is a mutual love hate relationship where you can’t live and can’t live without. Your life revolves around them.

My mom is my bestfriend in the whole wide world. No matter who comes and goes she is always there for me. Nobody loves me as unconditionally as her. She knows me inside out and I am glad I found my bestrfriend in her because she is the best bestfirend in the world!.

You may hate them, you may love them, they might not always be right, but your parents can be the best bestfriends in the world because they will always love you and be there for you no matter what. Give them a chance, take them out to that favorite coffee shop of yours, go shopping with them, take them to the movies. You might just end up having the best time of your life!
